In a perfect world, your printer could produce any job beautifully, quickly and at a bargain price. Fortunately, thanks to their remarkable breadth of capability, there is one printer that comes pretty close.

What most printers refer to as a pressroom is more accurately termed a press arena at Printwell Printing in Taylor, Michigan. In this busy plant, Heidelberg sheet fed offset presses, Heidelberg heat set webs and everything in between fill nearly 160,000 square feet of space – and they run non-stop, 24 hours a day, six days a week.

In 2007 alone, this versatile company produced more than 5,000 jobs for 2,000+ organizations, an accomplishment that demonstrates its remarkable versatility. This is good news for print buyers who have too many projects on their hands and too few hours in the day.

When you’re turning out work in every possible shape, size, color and quantity, you need a printer who has it all. And that takes more than a press room. It takes a press arena.

This is good news for print buyers who have too many projects on their hands and too few hours in the day.

With a full range of printing options, Printwell’s flexibility is evident right from the start. The company is unusual in its ability to quote and run jobs based on the best possible fit of project specifications to press capabilities. And that means faster turnaround, lower prices and better quality, time after time after time.

Of course, there’s far more to quality printing than a plethora of presses. It takes craftsmanship, partnership and leadership. Qualities Printwell has worked hard to develop and perfect.

What makes one printer grow and thrive while others struggle to survive?
In the long run, it's about consistency.
we hear you

"Listening is one of the most important things we do," says Paul Borg, President, CEO, founder and ever-present leader of Printwell Printing. "We listen actively, intentionally and consistently. And we listen to hear what people are really saying because, if you don't do that, you're not really listening." When a company that was having difficulty in the distribution of their newsletter approached us, we listened. Their previous printer had been delivering damaged and improperly counted product to their mailing facility. After assessing their needs, Printwell decided that investing in a state-of-the-art Heidelberg 4 up Speedbander and crusher was the answer. We listened and the company newsletter is now printed on-time, delivered in flawless condition, and accurately counted.

Recognizing a client's challenge and responding with workable solutions is Printwell's signature. When one of our customers had a need for an improved workflow pre-press system, we invested and expanded our entire pre-press department to accommodate them. It's all about investing for our clients and making it work for them.

we look out for you

According to Borg, Printwell's growing success is due in great part to company-wide concern for each and every one of the 100+ jobs that are in the plant at any given time. “We meet twice a day, six days a week, to discuss the details of every job”, Borg explains. "Consistent communication is the key to consistent quality."

"We talk about how to make the job better and what we have to do to keep the job on track. We advise one another on important specifications, elements that need a close watch and deadlines that simply cannot be missed. From pre-press to bindery to delivery, we all have the same goal: to look out for the best interests of our clients."

full color + green
As concerns about global warming, pollution and deforestation increase, so does the demand for environmentally friendly printing. Printwell ahs adopted proactive, plant-wide policies that can help conserve natural resourses and protect our planet for future generations. Choosing Printwell means more than rich, vibrant colors on paper; it means bluer skies, greener woodlands and a brighter future.
soy & vegatable-based inks
Affordable, sustainable and earth-friendly. The use of soy and vegetable-based inks is not unusual at Printwell. In fact, nearly 100% of all jobs now specify these eco-smart choices. Such inks contain fewer harmful chemicals that can evaporate into the atmosphere. Using these "green" inks demonstrates your commitment to the environment – and Printwell can help you do it with beautiful results.
Recycling
Clients who choose recycled paper are applauded at Printwell, but that’s not all the company does to support the reduce-reuse-recycle philosophy. Through an intricate network of vacuum tubes, every bit of scrap paper from every department is retrieved for recycling. On average, this amounts to some 40 tons of reclaimed paper every month. In addition, Printwell returns all aluminum plates to the manufacturer so they can be recycled and reused.
